Projects guides

Triostack Projects gives teams boards, timelines, and workload views for planning and tracking work. This guide covers setting up your first project and connecting it to CRM deals.

1. Create a project and choose a view

New projects can start as a board (Kanban-style columns), a list, or a timeline — the same project data underlies all three, so a team can switch views without re-entering anything.

2. Link a project to a CRM deal

From a project's Settings → Linked account, connect it to the CRM account or deal that started it. Once linked, the project shows deal context (scope, value, client) directly, and closed-won deals can spin up a linked project automatically — see the CRM guide's automation section.

3. Plan timelines and milestones

Timeline view (Projects → Timeline) lays out tasks against dates, with milestones marked separately from regular tasks so key delivery dates stand out against day-to-day work.

4. Monitor workload

The Workload view shows each team member's assigned tasks against their available capacity, flagging anyone significantly over or under-allocated before a deadline is at risk.

5. Report on delivery

Reports (Projects → Reports) track on-time completion rate and throughput per team or project, useful for spotting delivery trends across multiple concurrent engagements.
